
The Small Size 4-legged Robot "Bj" has 3 DOFs in each legs, 2 DOFs for the neck, 1 DOF for the mouth and 1DOF for the tail. It has 16 servo motors in total, a high speed RISC MPU (ARM11 core, 533MHz) and a hardware image processing unit with FPGA.
Each joints is equipped with KONDO KRS-4013 high torque and high speed servo motors whose parameters can be changed (ICS option). A Linux operating system is running on a ARM11 core MPU, therefore, you can get massive software environment through internet such as USB and WiFi. This MPU is about 3 times as fast as a CICS MPU (such as Pentium, Geode) at same frequency.
Bj adopts a distributed system; therefore, you have a free task space on a main MPU.
You can get a motion generator software, sample motions, image processing software as a standard package.
